Building Motivation For Success Today

Building Motivation Is A Daily Exercise

by: Mark Webb

index.28xBeing in the counseling field, I often get asked, “How can I motivate myself?” Getting ourselves motivated is a lot like exercising. You have to work out on a regular basis in order to keep from getting flabby. Your attitude is the same way; you have to work on it routinely.

Here are some suggestions to build motivation and a positive mental attitude:

? Read positive material and/or listen to motivational tapes on a daily basis. Spend at least 15 minutes a day either reading or listening to something that is going to help you be your best self. Use the drive to work to listen to self improvement programs. You can turn your car into a sort of University on Wheels. I tell people that unless they have an eating disorder, they can miss a meal but not these 15 minutes for their mind. If you can devote more time to your self improvement then do so.

? Visit the library and check out books dealing with “Success.” These can be self improvement or the biographies of people you’ve admired throughout history.

? Become more physically active. This can include exercises such as walking and running. It can also include simpler methods such as walking at a slightly more rapid pace, sitting up in a confident fashion, smiling, breathing deeply and fully and holding your head erect.

? Write your goals on paper or note cards and place them where you will see them daily. You need to remind yourself often of the dreams you have for yourself. Remember, You Become What You Think About! Keep your mind on the things you want and off the things you don’t.

? Write your goals in specific terms and put a deadline on them. Think about your goals before you say your prayers at bedtime.

? Use positive self-talk. Most people are their own worst enemy in terms of how they talk to themselves. Give yourself encouragement and be optimistic in the words you use. Avoid saying “I can’t” and stop placing negative labels on yourself.

? Look at problems as opportunities. All problems have a gift or an opportunity to learn, grow or better ourselves. If we look for the opportunity, we will find the solution to keep us on track with our life versus getting stuck within the hopelessness of our problems.

Developing a positive motivation for life is essential to accomplish your dreams in life. Practice these skills and develop a mindset that will make these skills a way of life. You were born to succeed!

Get Success In Your Life!

What Keeps You Positive and Optimistic to Get Success in Your Life?

by Nick Mutt

Everyone knows that to get success in life, positive attitude plays a vital role. But many of them do not know how to be positive and optimistic throughout the day. What are the things or steps are important to keep you positive and optimistic.

Always think positive, thinking positive will give positive result. If you think you can win, you have already won 50 per cent. Use your golden hour (first hour of the day) in constructive work. It’s the hour during which you planned your mind and set your emotional tone for the rest of the day.

The difference between successful person and less successful person is positive thinking and planning. Successful person plan their activities in the first two hours. If you get up in the morning at least two hours before you have to be at work, or before your first appointment or meeting, and spend the first hour to make better plan by reading good books.

If you do not do this and you invest your precious time in the newspaper or magazines, your whole day will flow accordingly. If you invest your golden time in constructive work, planning, reading good books, your whole day will flow more smoothly. You’ll be more positive, cheerful, hopeful and optimistic. You’ll be calmer, confident and relaxed. You’ll have a greater sense of humor, better control and well-being by the very act of reading healthy material for the first hour of each day.

After just few days of reading for 30 to 60 minutes in the morning, you’ll notice a profound change. As a result of your early morning reading, you’ll feel so excellent about yourself and your life. You will feel more confident and energetic throughout the day. This will help you in taking right decisions, proper management of workflow, etc. Try to adopt this process for some days and see. It’s a magnificent experience, and it can have a deep impact on the rest of your life.

In the period of time before work, another thing that extremely successful people do is plan and prepare for their entire day. If you also want to be successful start practicing this habit from today. I hope from this article you will get some guidelines or help to make your life even better. Success Is A JourneyYour “College on Wheels”

by June McHardy

It is said that once most people leave school they make the decision that their learning days are over. Most of them will seldom ever read another non-fiction book, therefore missing out on one of the greatest resources for boosting their career goals.

They don’t realize that reading and constantly learning will keep them mentally alert and younger, their memory will improve, they’ll be more decisive, smarter and quicker – in short, constant learning is considered one of the prime success skills.

…And reading books about a specific subject that is of interest to you regarding your career can give you an added bonus! When you study and learn more about a favorite topic you give your confidence a boost. You can very quickly become an authority in the field. Do you think that this would advance your career goals? You bet it would!

Another tip is to try always to read material written by someone with hands-on experience in the field, rather than just theory. The same things goes for seminars or courses. The person who has been “through the mill” has a lot more to offer you.

By now you’re probably saying “But I just don’t have the time to read any books!” Well, one way would be to reduce the amount of time you spend reading the newspaper or watching TV. . . or you could get up a half hour earlier each day to read undisturbed and, as Brian Tracy says, “milk the golden hour”

But by far the most powerful way of finding the time to read is making your car your ‘College on Wheels’.

It’s estimated that we spend between 500 to 1000 hours a year driving to and from work. Most people will listen to the radio. But what if you took this time to listen to books on tape? Or what if you listened to tapes on your subjects of interest by experts in the field?

By the end of the year you could have the equivalent of 2 university semesters!

Another added bonus of listening to tapes in your car is that the stress of the drive will decrease and you’ll actually arrive feeling more refreshed and relaxed. Careful though, you can become addicted to this successful habit!

So start now. It’s never too late to become success-oriented!
